The Path of the Blood Drinker (Barbarian)

The Path of the Blood Drinker (Barbarian)

As part of the set of blood magic rules coming in The Impermissicon there are a number of new blood-based subclasses, and not all of them are spellcasters. In particular, this barbarian subclass!

Many cultures around the world have had the idea that warriors can grow stronger by consuming the heart or blood of their defeated foes. "Some viewed the practice of exocannibalism as an act of predation tying the action to more of a prey versus predator scenario than one of ceremonial meaning. Exocannibalism has also historically been viewed as a way to acquire the strength and ability of a defeated enemy. It serves as a final act to either intake or extinguish the existence of an enemy." As such, Blood Drinker barbarians have consumed enough hearts/blood to have begun a psuedo-demonic transformation into a supernatural blood-drinking monster. When their own blood is spilled, they only grow stronger, and they can drink the blood of their enemies through their weapons itself, eerily consuming the life force through the blade by unknown dark magic.
